Something Invisible
Meeting yourself. An online course.
So much of what we feel, choose and do is the past firing in the present, clouding how we see the world and ourselves. This is a course in seeing that clearly and learning to release what weighs us down.
We would like to think we run our lives, that we see a situation, weigh it, and choose what will make us happy. But watch. The hand has reached for the phone on its own. Words are out of our mouth before we picked them. A small remark stings for hours. Often we do things not because we want to, but it happens first, and then we believe we wanted it.
If this were just about impulses or small habits, it would still be worth correcting. But it goes further.
We want to be happy; our choices, outer and inner, create it. But there is something amiss. Our whole being — the source of all our thoughts, emotions and actions — is perhaps tainted with what we are not. And this is what quietly decides for us.
Something in us is asleep and something in us gets hypnotised. We behave in ways that don't fulfil us, yet we justify and defend those very behaviours, because we believe that's what we wanted.
This course is about seeing this clearly. And waking up.
How the course works
There are two parts to the course: Understanding and Practice.
Understanding is the map. The teaching shows how we came to be the way we are. What we're built on, what got laid over it, and how that runs our behaviour and choices against our own happiness. And it shows the way through. Seeing it clearly is how the grip first loosens.
Practice is the work we do together. Learning to sit and feel what is actually here in the body, without running from it or numbing it. Not analysing what you find. Staying with it. The stored past lives in the body, and so does the ability to release it. The practice removes what stands in the way.
The Teaching Arc
What we're built on. Ancient systems run beneath thought: survival machinery that reacts before we've registered a threat, social wiring that reads and mimics other bodies before we've said a word.
What's running us. As children, we were programmed by our parents, our environment, the culture we were born into. In the process we also absorbed imprints that don't sit well with our deeper self, and the stress of that lives on as a loop in body and mind.
How it shows up. A non-verbal body-memory operates beneath our thinking, shaping what we perceive, firing responses before thought. This is where the stored past lives. And much of what looks like personality — preferences, flaws — is a way we cope with what couldn't get processed.
The doorway. The felt sense is the whole texture of how we are in this moment: body, emotions, aliveness held as one. Becoming aware of it lets the body release the residue of the past.
Working with it. Carrying the practice into daily life. Staying grounded in the felt sense while living, catching what's running us in the moment, and choosing differently. And learning to work with attitude: the way we meet what's here.
Where it leads. Free of the grip of stored impressions, something in us comes together. Instinct, intuition and intelligence begin to work as one, and we organically discover our purpose. Being aware of ourselves and sincerely following our own happiness awakens us to our deepest self, which turns out to be the deepest self of everything.
The Practice
The practice is the heart of the course. We learn to be with our inner world by practising it. We sit and feel what is actually here — the body, the mood underneath, the whole texture of the moment. Without running from it.
It's simple, though not always easy. In the beginning all sorts of things come up — strangeness, boredom, irritation. The guidance teaches us how to stay present without feeding any of it. And then, at some point, it shifts to a quiet happiness of being with ourselves. Another restlessness will rise after it, and we learn to be with that. And that passes too. That is the practice. And this is how the unwanted grip of the past begins to loosen. Slowly, deeper parts of ourselves come through. The ones that know the way to a fuller life.
The guidance keeps progressing week by week. Denser at first, sparser later, teaching more in the beginning and guiding lightly by the end. How far this goes is up to you, but the aim is that you no longer need it to do the practice. And in the long run being with yourself is no longer something you have to sit down to do, but that stillness should stay with you while you move through life.
Rhythm
Six live sessions online, one a week, about two hours each. Each opens with the week's guided meditation, around 30 to 40 minutes, followed by teaching and discussion.
And a daily sit of 30 to 40 minutes, guided by a recording made for that week.
Altogether, six to seven hours a week.
Who This is For
For people drawn to understand themselves, and willing to sit with what they find. You don't need to have meditated before, and you don't need years of therapy behind you. Some arrive having done a great deal of both and found it useful but incomplete. Others come simply curious. What the course asks is not experience but sincerity.
A few things it is not. It's not content to consume: without the daily sit, the teaching will interest you but change little. And it's not crisis work — clinical conditions like depression or PTSD need professional care, and this course is no substitute for it.
Who’s Teaching
I'm Vivek Bothra. I've spent decades in meditation and in study across traditions. For years I've worked one to one with people. This course grew out of that and my personal journey.

Different works, and each stands on its own. The course is about what all of us are built on, and it teaches you to work with yourself daily. A session is about what is particularly you. No right order, no obligation to do both.
